He made customer deliveries driving a short truck while also performing various duties related to their bulk plant activities.

While attending The Citadel, Craig played varsity football for the Bulldogs along with being an officer in the corps of cadets. After graduating from The Citadel with a BS in Business Administration, he married Trudy, and returned to work with the family petroleum business on a full-time basis.

Soon afterwards, he was approached and hired as Executive Director to manage the Association’s business activities. In 1993, Craig was hired as Executive Director of the NC Petroleum Marketers Association replacing the retiring Don Ward who served the association for forty-three years. Craig held this position until 1996 when he accepted an opportunity to become Director of Sales for Waccamaw Transport.
